TERMS &
PRIVACY.

Draft for review. This site is currently private. Before a public launch, the operator must add a contact method, verify hosting and service-provider practices, and review these notices for the final service and applicable laws.

Privacy notice

Draft prepared October 27, 2026. It describes the current scorekeeper and needs review before public launch.

Information you enter

Player names, game settings, losses and hand history are saved in your browser’s local storage so you can continue on the same device and browser. The sound setting is also saved locally. The scorekeeping code does not send player names or scores to a game server. Anyone with access to your browser may be able to see them, so use nicknames if you prefer.

Deleting game data

Starting a new game clears the current scores and history while keeping player names and settings. You can remove all saved app data by clearing this website’s site data in your browser settings. This may also remove other site preferences. Browser storage can be cleared by you or your browser and is not a backup; it does not automatically sync between devices.

Hosting and service providers

The site is hosted through Lovable. The app itself does not require an account or sign-in to use. Hosting, security, authentication and network providers may process technical information such as IP address, request data and browser information according to their practices. The site also requests fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive technical information when your browser loads them. Provider practices, retention periods, processing locations and any logs need to be confirmed before launch.

Children and other players

Please get permission before entering someone else’s name, and use a nickname when appropriate. Parents or guardians should supervise children’s use and avoid entering unnecessary personal details.

Questions and requests

Operator name and a working privacy contact: to be added before public launch. The operator should provide a way to ask privacy questions or make applicable access and correction requests.

Terms of use

Draft prepared October 27, 2026. Operator identity and final terms must be reviewed before public launch.

Using the scorekeeper

SCAT is a casual scorekeeping tool. You enter the players, choose the settings and record the results yourself. House rules differ; the app’s settings may not match every way of playing. Check the results and use undo if you make a mistake.

Play fair

Use the site lawfully and respectfully. Don’t interfere with the service or other people’s access, attempt unauthorized access, or enter information you don’t have permission to use.

Your device and saved games

You are responsible for the information you enter and for access to your device. Scores are kept in browser storage and may be lost if storage is cleared, your device is replaced or your browser changes. Keep a separate record if a result matters to you.

Availability and responsibility

The app is provided for casual entertainment. Features may change or be unavailable, and mistakes or interruptions can happen. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes and contact

The operator may update the app and these terms as the service changes. The date and meaningful changes should be communicated when the final terms are published. Operator and contact details: to be added before public launch.
